Thanks for the comment Sean - I understand why you say that. From my point of view, I didn't feel it would be right to attempt to speak on Robbie Moore's behalf. I am happy to meet you to expand on our reasons for supporting the Bill (and why we didn't agree with some of the points Robbie Moore raised) if that would be useful?

I should also mention that, in addition to the organisations that were able to attend the meeting, the Bill is also supported by the Addingham Environment Group, Climate Action Silsden, Wharfedale Naturalists Society, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and the Yorkshire Rewilding Network. In the photo, Robbie Moore is holding a copy of YWT's 2024 report into the state of Yorkshire's Nature. If you are interested in the report, you can find it here - https://www.ywt.org.uk/StateofNature. It is sobering reading - nearly 2,000 species have been lost from Yorkshire over the last 200 years and 3,000 more are at risk of extinction.

I would have liked this piece to explain why Robbie Moore chose not to support the Bill as I am sure that he had his reasons. Merely expressing disappointment that he was not supportive is not very informative and not as balanced a piece as it could have been.
